María Reneé Urquiola Montellano is a dynamic and multifaceted performing artist from Tarija, Bolivia, whose work bridges artistic excellence and social impact. A fully bilingual singer, actress, and dancer (English and Spanish), she began capturing audiences early on, becoming the only female finalist on Bolivia’s X-Factor at just 16 years old.

She later trained in New York City, recently earning a BFA in Musical Theater from The New School and a Certificate in Performing Arts from AMDA, two of the world’s most prestigious performing arts institutions.

María Reneé currently performs at the iconic Ellen’s Stardust Diner, a beloved Broadway landmark, and has taken the stage at 54 Below, captivating international audiences with her powerful voice and stage presence. In 2025, she was invited to serve as a panelist at BroadwayCon, the premier convention for musical theater professionals and enthusiasts.

Honored in her homeland as a Distinguished Citizen of Tarija and recipient of the Young Tarija Artist Award, María Reneé also serves as a Goodwill Ambassador for Plan International, advocating for children’s rights, gender equality, and social justice. She has led numerous benefit concerts in Bolivia and the United States, using her artistry to support causes such as pediatric cancer awareness and the empowerment of young women.
