Fabiola victoria brown

Fabiola Victoria Brown is a Puerto Rican artist whose journey blends classical dance, acting, and cinema. Born in San Juan and raised in Mayagüez, she began her formal education at the Montessori School of Mayagüez, where she completed her studies from 2002 to 2018.

Her artistic path began at age 10 when she joined the Western Ballet Theater of Mayagüez, training under Nana and Mumy Badrena. Over the next decade, she honed her craft through prestigious institutions, including:

  • Joffrey School of Ballet, New York - Summer Intensive (2014)

  • National Ballet School of the Dominican Republic (2014-2015)

  • Coda 21 Contemporary Ballet Company, San Juan (2015-2016)

  • "Fernando Alonso" National Ballet School, Havana, Cuba (2017-2020)* (First Puerto Rican graduate)

  • Concierto Ballet Company of Puerto Rico (2020-2024)

In parallel, Fabiola pursued a Bachelor's degree in Journalism at the University of Puerto Rico, Río Piedras. However, a knee injury in 2021 (ACL rupture forced her to step away from ballet for over a year. This unexpected pause led to a pivotal moment in her life: she was cast as the female lead in "Esta Isla", a feature film by Experimento Lúdico, shot in western Puerto Rico.

The film debuted at the 2025 Tribeca Film Festival, winning Best Cinematography in a U.S. Narrative Feature, Best New Narrative Director, and a Special Jury Mention for overall quality as a U.S. narrative feature.

Inspired by the filmmaking process, Fabiola shifted her academic focus to film, earning her Magna Cum Laude degree in Film Production from the University of Puerto Rico in May 2025.

Today, she continues to evolve as a storyteller, blending her foundation in movement, performance, and visual storytelling to create emotionally resonant work
