Fabiola victoria brown

Fabiola Victoria Brown is a talented Puerto Rican artist whose journey combines classical dance, acting, and film. Born in San Juan and raised in Mayagüez, she started her education at the Montessori School of Mayagüez, where she studied from 2002 to 2018. Her artistic journey began at age 10 when she joined the Western Ballet Theater of Mayagüez, training under Nana and Mumy Badrena. Over the next decade, she refined her skills through prestigious institutions, including the Joffrey School of Ballet in New York, the National Ballet School of the Dominican Republic, Coda 21 Contemporary Ballet Company in San Juan, Concierto Ballet Company of Puerto Rico, and the renowned “Fernando Alonso” National Ballet School in Havana, Cuba, where she proudly became the first Puerto Rican graduate of the institution.

In parallel, Fabiola pursued a Bachelor’s degree in Journalism at the University of Puerto Rico. However, a knee injury in 2021 (ACL rupture) forced her to pause ballet for over a year. This unexpected break marked a turning point in her life: she was cast as the female lead in “Esta Isla,” a feature film by Experimento Lúdico shot in western Puerto Rico. The film debuted at the 2025 Tribeca Film Festival, winning Best Cinematography in a U.S. Narrative Feature, Best New Narrative Director, and a Special Jury Mention for overall quality as a U.S. narrative feature.

Inspired by the filmmaking process, Fabiola shifted her academic focus to film, earning her Magna Cum Laude degree in Film Production from the University of Puerto Rico in May 2025. She continues to grow as a storyteller, blending her background in movement, performance, and visual storytelling to create emotionally impactful work.
